The Services We Provide Are Made Possible by Contributions from Our Supportive Donors & Volunteers
Offer Your Expertise To Qualified Locals in Need of Legal Guidance
Volunteering at walk-in law clinics is a meaningful way to support the community and contribute to access to justice. By offering your time and expertise, you can make a positive impact on vulnerable individuals who need legal assistance.
Community impact through legal assistance
- Access to Legal Assistance: You will help people who often have no other way to access high quality legal services. The law clinic only assists people of limited means.
- Empowerment: The legal system is intimidating and overwhelming for so many. Your support empowers people, enabling them to feel more in control and make informed decisions.
- Outreach to Underserved Populations: Many of the clients served at the law clinic represent underserved communities. You are making legal assistance accessible to more of our neighbors.
What You Can Expect As A Volunteer
- Provide Legal Guidance: You will work directly with individuals seeking legal assistance. This may involve offering initial consultations, legal information, or referrals to other resources.
- Collaborate with Other Professionals: You will work alongside other legal professionals, including attorneys, law students, and retired attorneys in a positive, supportive environment.
- Adhere to Ethical Standards: VCLA is committed to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards of conduct, respecting confidentiality and high quality legal services to everyone seeking assistance.
